1st Generation Toyota Tundra Differential Oil Limited Slip
Differential fluid This truck is by far the EASIEST differential to maintain I have ever owned.
1st generation toyota tundra differential oil limited slip. The truck DOES NOT have the TRD. Hello I am a new member but a long time follower and have a question. The 75 IFS diff 86-95 IFS trucks and 4Runners and all 93-98 T100s use a 75 front diff that is offset to the passengers side.
I had the same problem when I changed my diff with mobil 1 with lsd additive. The official Toyota owners manual says to use 80w-90 hypoid gear oil for the front diff and transfer case and synthetic hypoid gear oil for LSD differentials 80w-90 GL-5 Ive read people using Amsoil Royal Purple Lucas Mobil 1 etc. Jump to Latest Follow.
My Toyota dealer also say they use SAE 80W-90gear oil with LSD additive. You have a limited slip but the clutch pack is shotcan be rebuilt or try changing the oil first. What is the correct gear oil for the rear differential with Limited-Slip on my 08 Tacoma TRD Sport 4WD.
The Tundra that I am looking at is an 04 DC 2WD and the owner does not think it has limited slip. Hi all I just purchased a beautiful 2006 double cab limited 2wd Tundra with 32000 miles on it and Im getting ready to change the rear end gear oil truck has LSD. The dealer charges about 3200 with tax to do the oil change on the engine.
Recently converted back in 2004 to Toyota from a lifetime with GM I have found both my 02 Camry and 06 Tundra to be very easy to maintain. Here in AZ it never gets close to that temp and of course. I think if you have good tires and take it easy on the gas you dont need a limited slip.
TRD LSD FOR YOUR 96-2004 TACOMA V6 4WD OR V6 PRE RUNNER WITH OUT ELECTRIC LOCKER TUNDRA AND T100 ALL WITH 8INCH RING GEAR. Im confused by all the options. My Toyota manual says.
