2001 Toyota Tundra Trailer Lights Not Working
Did you try the trick on youtube to connect the two contacts on the trailers 7-pin to turn on the lights on trailer.
2001 toyota tundra trailer lights not working. I have a 2002 Tundra with a factory installed hitch. It was feasted on three trailers. Trailer brake and turn lights not working on tundra running lights work - All lights and brakes work with other vehicles brake and turn signal do not work with my Tundra.
On the Tundra the white wire is the ground on both connectors find the corresponding wire on the trailer connector and ensure it is connected to the trailer chassis. Asked by JamesDean in Poway CA on July 03 2010. If yes then check the trailer plug.
If they dont work then as Toxarch says your trailer has a bad ground. It is not the trailer as verified it worked with another toyota. I plugged the trailer back in but no lights.
Left signal light stays lit on the dash and does not blink and is stuck on lit up when lights are lit. I called the dealership and my sales guy said he will check if it is covered by the 3yr30000 my truck is a 10 and I bought it used in Feb 2011. Interestingly I bought a lcd tester that you plug into the 4 pin connection it worked.
I pulled both assemblies and installed new bulbs replaced the 15 amp fuse on the driver side interior fuse panel. I have 2008 tundra with no trailer park lights. All of the running lights and one of the turn lights were no longer working.
Ground is good and parking lights and trailer brakes work fine. In my experience of a light does not work its usually a bad ground. The brake lights work reverse and signal work just fine just not the tail lights when I turn the headlight switch on.
