If you cant get a 12v car battery to the vehicle or the battery in it is completely dead hook up a 9v to the leads and that should give you enough voltage to shift the column.

A couple of things can cause this if the brake lights are intermittently not working due to a faulty brake light switch it can cause it to not come out of park another cause may be that the shift interlock solenoid is sticking this can happen if a soft drink containing. If there is no coolant in your overflow you can refill it by adding more to the overflow reservoir. When trying to boost truck hooked up cables wrong so I checked and changed all blown fuses from fuse panel 1 now the truck starts but I have no power to inside fuse panel and no lights or power inside cab along with not coming out. Also power seats windows AC and radio are not working.
