2003 Toyota Tundra Door Panel Removal
How do I get the drivers side door panel off to repair the Door handle on my 2003 toyota tundra - Answered by a verified Toyota Mechanic.
2003 toyota tundra door panel removal. Noise abrasive from front passenger side wheel. Remove the four Phillips screws in the cup holder panel. Lift the door up to get the lip off the top edge of the door.
Grab ahold and yank. Depress the two clips on each side of the cup holder and pull it out of the cup holder panel. 1- in the door handle under lil flap-open door 2- behind penny sized cap in center of the door you cannot miss it.
Remove as many screws and clips as you can remove the inner door handle trim and then roll the window all the way down. Pull until you hear these clips popping out. Pop the two plastic rivets from the side and remove the window control mechanism and unplug it.
Once the screws are out pull out on the panel to loosen the plastic pins that go around the outer edge of the panel. Planning to either put a bass speaker in the passenger hole by enlarging it or remove the metal structure under the rear seat and build a wood box. I took it to a Toyta dealer and they diagnosed the problem as a defective integration.
Mark each screw so you know which one goes on top and which one goes on the bottom. Remove the 2 screws first - one is behind the door handle the other is in the handle cup points straight down. Door panels need to be removed to access the inside components of the door li.
Heres how to take off the panel. There are plastic clips holding the door panel in place around the outside edges of the panel. After removing the two screws you will pull the panel away from the door.
